Dodd’s Hillcrest Orchard Wedding Photography in Amherst, Ohio

Alison and Mike had a fantastic apple farm wedding at Hillcrest Orchards in Amherst, Ohio. It was a joy to be the photographers for this couple’s wedding!

Alison and Mike met playing volleyball and have loved living an active life ever since!

The day dawned hot and sunny, perfect for an August wedding. Alison got ready with her girls at the Century Old School House at Hillcrest Orchards, enjoying the time together and lots of laughter. 

After everyone was ready for the wedding ahead, Brian and I snuck Alison and Mike away for a first look among the apple trees. Hillcrest Orchards has 60,000 apple trees on their property, making the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. It was wonderful to see Alison’s face relax into joy when she saw Mike for the first time. The couple was clearly excited to be celebrating their wedding with their friends and family!

Following their first look on their wedding day, we took Mike and Alison for photos with their bridal party. In addition to the apple orchards, Hillcrest Orchards has a field of sunflowers that are spectacular for wedding photography. The bridal party was a riot and everyone braved the heat and had a blast.

Now it was time for the wedding itself! Hillcrest Orchards has a beautiful pine grove with rustic wooden benches that made the perfect setting for Alison and Mike’s wedding. This spot totally fit the couple for a sweet intimate ceremony surrounded by loved ones.

The rest of the evening was a great mixture of partying inside the barn and enjoying the wonderful evening outside on the patio and in the lawn. From the cigar station to the corn hole set up, there was something fun for everyone to do as they celebrated the wedding of Alison and Mike. 

When a gorgeous sunset flared through the sky at Hillcrest Orchards, we couldn’t help but take Alison and Mike back to the sunflower field for some sunset photography!
